The Bursary Fund

Many of the famous Independent schools to which we regularly send Arnold House boys, such as Eton, Rugby and Harrow, have long-held traditions of offering bursaries and scholarships to boys of potential whose parents do not have the means to pay the school fees.

Rugby, for example, (whose famous Headmaster Dr. Arnold provided inspiration for the naming of Arnold House in 1905) is aiming to support 10% of its pupils with bursaries over the next decade. It is much harder for prep schools without significant endowments or a large alumni base to follow their lead.  However, the Governors and Headmaster believe that Arnold House should be at the forefront of moves to ensure that educational opportunities at prep school age are available far more widely than they have been in the past.
