Trips
At Arnold House there is a full program of day and residential trips which encourage the boys to be more independent as well as support their social and cultural development.
From Year 5, the Residential trips provide boys the opportunity to enjoy different experiences, amongst friends and supervised by staff they know and trust. The programs during these visits are designed help the boys develop self-confidence, learn to work in a team as well as supporting their academic progress. They can attain a Trip Commendation if they make an important contribution. The timetable below shows how the frequency and length of the visits increases as the boys move towards Year 8.
Residential Trips
Year 5 - Teamwork Week, Devon
Year 6 - Leadership Week, Devon
Year 7 - Language/ Cultural Visit, Paris
Geography Fieldtrip, Dorset
Year 8 - Language Week, Burgundy
Battlefields Trip, Flanders or The Somme
Day Trips
There are day excursions for all age groups.
Year 1 – Geffreye museum and The National Gallery
Year 2 – London Transport Museum and The Museum of London
Year 3 – London Zoo and the Science Museum
Year 4 – West Stow, the Verulamium and the Barnes Wetland Centre
Year 5 – The Europa Centre
Year 6 – Imperial War Museum and the Churchill War Rooms
Year 7 – Theatre productions
Year 8 - The Globe, Fishbourne Roman Villa
