The Board of Friends
Key to achieving the School's aims is the Arnold House Board of Friends. This leading volunteer board comprises eminent people who support Arnold House’s goals for the future and who are committed to working with the School to see these goals realised. The Arnold House Board of Friends will play a crucial role in the future of Arnold House as it works to transform perceptions of the role that external support for education can, and must, play.
Since its inception in 2009, the Board of Friends have been instrumental in a number of fundraising initiatives including the successful launch of the Bursary Fund with a Gala held at the American School in London in 2011, a Wine Man's Bluff hosted by old boy and world's best selling wine writer, Hugh Johnson in 2012, a Quiz Evening in 2013, a Bursary Cabaret in 2014, a Casino Night in 2015 and a Race Night in 2016. All five events were very well supported by the Arnold House community raising a total of £350,000 towards the Bursary Fund.
At the beginning of 2012 The Board of Friends contacted all parents in search of a group of volunteers to become Bursary Ambassadors. The group made up of representatives from throughout the School have an interest in fundraising and have been instrumental in raising awareness and generating support for the Bursary Scheme.
