Physical Education (PE)

Each class enjoys two PE lessons per week. One at Canons Park and the other either on-site in Pre-Prep or at our Prep site. These sessions offer a variety of structured activities designed to support children’s physical development, fundamental movement skills, teamwork and self-confidence. As they progress, boys apply these skills in more formal sports settings, laying the foundation for life-long enjoyment of physical activity.

Music & Performance

All Pre-Prep pupils receive weekly class music lessons, take part in singing assemblies, and have access to our thriving instrumental programme. Reception and Year 1 children can take individual lessons in violin, ‘cello, guitar, or piano.

Clubs & Enrichment

A variety of optional clubs offer further opportunities for growth and enjoyment. Current offerings include Yoga, Kickboxing, Chess, and Robotics.
Through our extensive co-curricular programme, Arnold House boys are encouraged to explore, discover, and grow into well-rounded, curious, and confident learners.

Canons Park

Outdoor Learning

Our dedicated outdoor curriculum at Canons Park offers boys in the Pre-Prep weekly experiences in Physical Education, Forest School, and topic-based learning. Each year group in Pre-Prep visits Canons Park once a week. These sessions support physical development and understanding of the world in a natural and stimulating environment.

Forest School

Weekly Forest School sessions immerse boys in nature, encouraging curiosity, resilience, and independence. Held at Canons Park, these sessions require no extra kit, just a sense of adventure!

Trips & Visits

Our vibrant programme of educational visits enriches classroom learning and brings the curriculum to life. Destinations include London Zoo, the Tower of London, the Postal Museum, and various local parks and cultural landmarks. Visitors, such as storytellers, police officers, and drama groups, also enhance learning within school.

Celebrating Community & Culture

We value the diverse backgrounds of our families. Parents are warmly invited to share traditions, festivals, or personal interests with the children, be it reading a story, sharing music from around the world or leading a class activity.
