Improving The Arnold House Offering

Support Us Hero Image

Arnold House School has full UK charitable status and has, over recent years, with the generous support of parents, Old Boys, foundations and others, raised well over £2 million.

Investment In Education

This sum has been invested in extending and upgrading the School’s classrooms, Drama Studio, Science facilities and outdoor spaces at Loudoun Road and Canons Park as well as enhancing and extending the provision and application of IT resources and teaching across the school.

All developments and campaigns significantly enhance the teaching and learning environment at the School, to the lasting and direct benefit of pupils far beyond their preparatory years.

Our Goals

Offering Opportunity To The Community

Our goal now is to enhance our outstanding facilities and to extend the opportunity of an Arnold House education to able boys regardless of their parents’ financial circumstances through the award of bursaries. To achieve this, it is essential that we strengthen the financial base of the School.

To this end we are inviting all Old Boys and current Parents to follow in the generous footsteps of so many within our community by making gifts that will directly benefit the pupils’ teaching and learning environment. Whether your gift is large or small, it is an enduring way to honour and support the School that has made an impact on the lives of so many.

Legacies and Bequests

Building on the legacy of ex-Head George Smart

In 1966, George Smart established Arnold House as a Charitable Educational Trust after 27 years as Headmaster.

In recognition of his contribution and to honour his memory, we have founded The George Smart Society for those who wish to leave a legacy to the School.

Leaving a bequest in your Will is a permanent and special way to support the School which has made an impact on the lives of so many and we hope that, when you have provided in your Will for those closest to you, you will also want to remember Arnold House.

On this page you can download a brochure which I trust you will find interesting. It explains why Arnold House needs financial support and how to leave a legacy to the School. Also attached are some wording suggestions you may want to use, should you wish to remember Arnold House in this way.

Please help Arnold House to build on its history and reputation, and to secure the future of this remarkable institution for future generations. You would be joining the growing group of people who have decided to make a bequest in favour of the School as a way of expressing their appreciation.
