Safeguarding At Arnold House
Our Commitment
Our aim is to create a nurturing, supportive environment where all children feel safe, respected, and able to thrive.
Arnold House provides a secure and inclusive community in which pupils can learn and grow with confidence. We believe every child has the right to feel protected, heard, and supported – and we work tirelessly to uphold those rights.
We expect all members of our school community – including staff, governors, parents, and visitors – to share in our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Policies & Practice
Our safeguarding policies are aligned with statutory guidance, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE), and are regularly reviewed to reflect best practice. All staff and volunteers receive appropriate training and are familiar with the procedures for reporting concerns.
We are vigilant in areas such as:
- Child protection and welfare
- Online and digital safety
- Mental health and emotional wellbeing
- Prevent duty and radicalisation
- Safer recruitment and staff conduct
Designated Safeguarding Leads
Arnold House has a strong safeguarding team in place, led by trained Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), who are responsible for coordinating safeguarding across the school. They ensure that concerns are handled swiftly, sensitively, and in line with statutory procedures.

Working In Partnership
We recognise that safeguarding is most effective when we work in partnership with parents, carers, and external agencies. Together, we support the development and wellbeing of each child – both at school and beyond.
