ICT
ETHOS:
ICT at Arnold House School is regarded as an integral part of the children’s learning in all curriculum areas. It enables children to find, explore, analyse, exchange and present information efficiently and creatively.
AIMS:
Our aims in using Information & Communication Technology are:
• To give children the confidence to be autonomous users of ICT.
• To provide opportunities for children to develop skills to use ICT resources effectively, with purpose and enjoyment.
• To encourage pupils to make informed judgments about when and where to use ICT to best effect.
• To ensure that children are progressively taught the skills necessary to use ICT as a tool for communicating and handling information.
• To help all children to achieve the highest possible standard of achievement.
CURRICULUM:
The School has a dedicated ICT room with 20 PCs to allow individual access to all pupils within a class. A second ICT suite of 9 PCs is available in the music room where pupils are able to work in pairs.
