Improve your Maths
How to improve your maths – Mr Keal's tips.
Do a little every day – 10 mental questions every day will speed you up and improve your skill levels. Get someone to test you on the way to school: here are some examples of the sort of questions you might get a parent, helper or friend to ask you.
(The questions could be easier or harder depending on your age).
- 4 x 15
- How many metres in a kilometre?
- Take 19 away from 81
- Halve 43
- How many cl in a litre?
- Find the difference between 292 & 313
- 7 x 8 doubled
- 8 x 8 halved
- How many days in March, April, May & June?
- What is the number of degrees in a right angle times 1000?
Please note: It is a waste of time to sit down and do pages of extra work and wear yourself out. Don't do a lot occasionally: do a little every day if you want to improve.
